Carbonhand is a revolutionary device that enhances grip strength and fine motor skills, providing increased independence for people with impaired hand function, significantly improving quality of life.
It can make a lifechanging difference for people with Central nervous system disorders such as Spinal Cord Injury, ALS, MS, and Stroke, Orthopedic injuries such as fractures, nerve damage, and brachial plexus injury, or Rheumatic diseases.
Carbonhand is an assistive device in the form of a grip-strengthening glove, with pressure sensors that detect when the user initiates a grip and then applies the power needed to ensure a firm grip. The more force the user applies, the more Carbonhand enhances it. By compensating for the loss of grip strength and hand function, the user can perform daily activities that they find difficult to perform or cannot do without the glove.
Carbonhand comes in five different sizes for right and left hands. In addition to the actual glove, the system consists of a small power unit that distributes the power as required. You can wear the power unit on your back, around your waist, or mount it on a wheel chair, which allows it to be customised to suit the situation or your preferences.
Artificial tendons and electric motors add power to the glove, intuitively and completely dynamically. Carbonhand ensures a firm grip and endurance for people with impaired hand function. This enables activities of daily living, at work or during rehabilitation.
Use the app to create and customise your own profiles. For example, you may need more support for outdoor activities and less for simpler household activities. You can then easily switch between your profiles with the push of a button on your wrist.
Choose how you want to wear the glove for maximum support, either on your middle and ring fingers or your index and middle fingers. This flexible option allows you to find a solution tailored perfectly to your unique needs and daily activities.

Our unique SEM technology is based on the user's own activity. Pressure-sensitive sensors in the glove detect the user's grip. Small motors then help amplify the hand's power. How much force the glove provides depends on how hard the user is gripping and is easily determined and programmed in an app. In this way, our products assist the user with the right amount of force to compensate for reduced hand function.
